the ai606 is a good alarm thatcham 1 alarm + immob. has lots of plug ins for further options so you can customise it to how you like
if you're doing it for insurance purposes you'll probably need a specialist to fit it.
hope that helps

My friend has an AI606 and it seems good, but just remember, it doesn't come with any tilt/motion sensors, JUST sensors on doors, bonnet and boot. It also has an internal proximity sensor.
If you ever wanted a flush tailgate, you cant use a remote boot pop off the Toad, the only way you can do it is with a Clifford. (Which i have, and rate as THE best alarm money can buy!)
Same goes for Remote Engine Start; not compatible with Toad!
(PM me if you want any more info)

that's crap cos the bloke who fitted mine put the wires in for me to do it
all comes down to who fits the alarm an how much info they know about it, and what they want you to spend your money on!
like if i'm selling two near identical things one at ?15 an one at ?25 i'll try an make you buy the more expensive one even though the cheaper one is just as good!

The tilt sensors are an extra option, as is the remote boot pop.
Never had anything other than trouble with the Cliffords I've had but I also know people who swear by Clifford.. Swings and Roundabouts me thinks.

the insurance for my car isnt to bad at the moment, (?750 fully comp with no no claims).
bt is there any way tht i cud fit th alarm myself nd get sum1 to fill in th neccessary paper work to let th insurance know iv had at cat1 alarm fitted to th car?
its only ?120 to buy if fit myself bt ?250 if sum1 fits it for me.
The money i cud save fitting myself i cud buy sum of the extra features nd make th alarm system better.
So how hard are they to wire up? is th instructions quite clear?
cheers for help
John
You won't get anyone to put there name on the certificate for the insurance unless you pay them to fit it, they don't know how well it's been installed by you and won't be happy to say they did it - unless they are really really dodgy.
unless they are really really dodgy.
I could get it done

Fair does mate, looks like ive been had!
Still preffer Clifford to Toad though, just seem more reliable in my experience.
