im about to buy some harnesses do i need bolt in or the other type?

if you are using standard interior then you will need the bolt in type, or if you are using a cage then you can use the other type (cant remember the proper name)

i want to mount them off the rear seatbelt mounts on the c pillar???

a harness is there to hold you into the seat. If you mount them there as have to use them in anger you will come out of you seat until the tension is taken, whereas if they are mounted in the rear seat mounts (on the seat) the harness is holding you down into the seat.
