what the best spray on stuff i can use on my engine to remove all the grease, grime and oil thats built up on it ??

i found one on ebay

halfords engine cleaner

does a well good job on the engine and oil on a drive :)

for over a tenner that engine cleaner stuff isnt worth it mate..Do as others have said and get some gunk, that is what i used on mine and it works a treat :D

yeh i remember dan-hipgrave posted somthing on his engine it was well clean!! get what he used looked great dan!!

use one called "engine nv" or as you mentioned auto glym. both are good; the autoglym can be used on plastic, rubber etc too. use wire brushes. i find gunk too much of a faff to use and wouldn't bother.

i stole trafic film remover from work and used that, your spose to dilute it but i didnt and its come up gleaming

I used gunk and scrubbed it with a bog brush :!:
Afterwards used Autoglym Bumber And Vinyl Care which, oddly enough, can be used on the engine bay.
It made all the plastic and pipework shiny and the top-end of the engine come up gleamy and bling. Looks propa bo I tell thee

I always use derv for cleaning an engine down with a nice hard brush and a pressure washer. Also Traffic film remover work although not as effective

When the engine is clean use Autosol it can really bring the shine back up its good stuff

mines only gonna be clean once and thats when its fitted lmao


i intend to use tesco value cola to degrease the gearbox though
