if i was to fit a Webber 32/34 carb onto my 1.2merit, would i need a inlet manifold off a 1.3/1.4? or could i just fit it to the one ive got? i.e. is it just a straight relpacement?

u need a 1.3 inlet manifold. a 1.4 won't fit your head.
You will also need a 1.3/1.4 throttle cable.

Fiesta XR2 as well... (32/34 as standard)
Escort 1.6 has a 28/30 autochoke, that might be some use.

would the 28/30 auto choke be hard to fit? because i would be doing the work myself, would i also need the 1.3 inlet manifold aswell?

xr2 has a 28/30 or something similar as standard, not a 32/34. some older landrovers had a 32/34 as standard if i remember right?
