as above. i am leaning more and more towards compomotive MOs all the time. avalalbe in a good range of sizes and different offsets aswell so i need to know what size will be best suited to a wide tracked, wide arched nova. will 18s go on? how wide can i ga aswell? what size will be best for handling?

cheers

15's are best for handling mate but might look a bit daft with wide arches, well theres novas with 19's on its just how bad you want them on

not too bothered about looks. fuctionality is what i want. what works best. not what looks best.

just wondered if the wide track would have made any difference to the wheel size/handling effect

haynes say wide track gives better handling on the limit, probably be best with 15's or 16's mate. What engine you got?

im thinking of doing a wide arch conversion as a mate of mine has a set of 7.5 "wide 15s with an offset of 30 which would be perfect for the job.

I'd go low and on 15"s

It would look sweet, prob need to drop about 80mm though! Someone got that piccy of the red hot rod nova for some inspiration??

yeah i'd rather have the 15s, but how wide can i get a set. phil says 10", thats wiiiide, lol. i'll need to watch though as i want/wil be needing some serious braking power so i might have to go up to 16s or maybe even 17s depending on the kit i choose. it'll be runnnig road slicks aswell, and i dont know if the range of sizes avaiable is gony cover weird sized alloys, or even bigger ones for that matter.

for good brakes you dont really have to go up a size on the disk any more than the astra gte ones. im going to run willwood superlight 4 pots under a set of 15s and these are more than good enough for any power nova.

nice but a bit on the deer side of things really. you can get dynalyte 4 pots for arround 60 quid each and they fit over standard astra gte discs, they will stop you on a pin head from any speed. a mate of mine has them on his 250 bhp NA 205 gti rally car and they never let him down

im hoping for around the 400 horse mark mate :D

no weight either though so that makes it a lot less prone to under braking

the lighter the car the easier it is to stop, anyway it wont matter how powerful the car is as it will only do the same speed just get there quicker. so as long as it can easily stop you from 130 or something like that then you would be fine.
