Boys and girles (And some of you raging homos out there) the new project has risen! (THANK FUCK). Mk2 shell has been aquired.
Cage already welded in. All panels included. Only missing front bumper and grill.Shell has the full HH strengthening kit on it' modded seat mounts and fully stripped out. Im keeping the alloy interior panels. Also the car is just freshly painted which saves me money!! :) Thanks must go to Mr ste sanders who put me onto this shell. (cheers matey) After a bit of bantering and a part ex of me cage we finally got it down to a decent price! Heres some pictures to keep peeps entertained!

I thought Chris's engine was powerful anyway

is this to become a Dan esque knock half a second off by making the car weight less than the driver?

Loose the speedlines and get some Compomotives MO's for a more rally look. Rick

True rick..

However i doubt its ever gonna be driven through muddy small lanes in a rally, so i'd keep the speedlines ;)

MO's or racelines maybe. Who knows. (i do)

Theres no rush on this one neil. No shows until next year now.
Got alot of ideas and things that i need to buy! Try and totally revamp it.

Im not bothering with biling' might try and get up there for a few hours to have a look about but thats it.

wisewood
09-09-04, 04:55 PM
you and stuart should make the cars look IDENTICAL on the outside so on track nobody knows which car they are up against

benji
09-09-04, 05:02 PM
that would be fun

nova---chris
10-09-04, 05:02 AM
The car will be used as my last one was.
Driven hard. To its limits. Wont be garaged! (I might try and wash it a few times per year) winter driven ect ect!
Altho i dont need to drive it all year round i choose too. i enjoy the power to weight ratio aspect far to much. lmfao! and trying to kill me passengers!

This time round the plan is to build a far more solid car. Using the experience we have gained a much better car will be built. The blue shell would not have stood up to track action tbh. Hence the reshell bought on by seeing stuart and dan re do there cars and looking at the faults i had in comparison to there shells.

Alot has been learned thanks to the lads and Cp! should stand me in good stead! Roll on nxt wednesday when i finally take delivery of the shell! woo!

Should have progress pcis along the way!

Stuart
10-09-04, 07:53 AM
that would be very funny to have both cars identical from the outside lol

m.d.
10-09-04, 05:19 PM
awsome shell to start from there. would have loved to have got that one. just whack some seats and harnesses in there and that would be it for the interior. then a 1.6 16v on TBs or carbs and you have a weapon

nova---chris
10-09-04, 06:36 PM
The dash wont be in there! 2 seats and harnesses. and as less as possible.
New fuse box i think. Might have to look into getting a brandnew loom sorted for it as minmal as possible, need to speakw ith a few peeps about getting that done.

As for the weapon side i think thats already sorted. lol
200bhp of n/a power should do it! lol

Cant wait to get started tbh!!! :)
