Anyone noticed anything unusual about vauxhall starter motors? every one i have had i have always had a different problem with the starter motor, now i think it has went again...using too much power to start the bugger n just clicks, the batteries been tested and is fine, so starter needing lubed up or what? there was also something draining the power so i checked the usual culprots, but they were fine only thing i have recently put in was a radio so thats out for now and so far...no probs! a

maybe i'll just get my tub of industrial ky n leather it into the biatches ass n see what can be done!

check all your earths, if its making a clicking sound but not doing anything is most likely to be a dodgy earth.

I have never had a dodgy starter on any vaux i have ever owned, but they have gone on nearly all fords i have ever had.

I think the Vaux ones are bullet proof.
