pearl paint

firstly spent all my money welding for an mot to be then told that i have to remove the flush fit skirts so they can weld both sill ends :(
its going in to have the chunks of skirts re-fitted(if they can!) but both rear quarters need to be sprayed only 6 months after a full respray.
the guy said that he could do me a deal on putting a pearl finish on the car at the same time cos it'l save work.
has anybody had a pearl finish put on top of their paint and is it worth the money? :|

is that a pearl finish using ur exsisting paint/colour as the base coat?

yeah basically. was resprayed black about 6 months ago and it goes over that to give a kinda metalic flip on certain areas depending on the light and what angle you look at it. :|

it is not worth doing it on a black car mate as you will hardley be able to see it ,if it was on a light colour it is mint .

dont know surely it'd show up a blue red or purple flip

personally id stear clear of a gold flip as imo it makes the car look dirty
