i went out in that thing up brighton seafront last summer and it was mental. I can't even imagine how much fun it'll now! Austin you have some set of balls on you mate!
Looking real good! Wasnt this car up for sale not long ago?
From the pics it looks like its actually being done properly, instead of butchering it.
Should be great run when finished!

looks like a mk1 scort rear axle
that is exactly what ill be doing next year. i emaild him the other day about a few things he did but he never got back to me. does anyone know how to contact him as im real interested to see how he has done the steering rack
any updates on the progress?
i would like to know how the steering is going to be done also.
i saw the car at his house ages ago whn he sarted to cut out the transmission tunnel! looks very good so far!

Not sure mate. But i dont think its MK2 escort gear. As the rear axel/diff is alot wider on the MK2, but this seems to fit perfectly with the nova's width.
Keith
wow thats just amazing... :o :o :o

im not sure how he has done his but i can tell you how ive done mine on the V8. I swaped the front hubs over so that the left was on the right hand side ect, this allows for steering rack to be moved away from the bulk head(well i dont have a bulk head any more  ) and into the centre of the engine bay. Normally the trackrod ends go in from the top of the hub, i have drilled out this hole so that i can fix it in from underneath thus lowering the steering rack out of the way of the engine. This might not work for the 2lt as i am having the V8 sit quite far back into the car and not that low down in the bay. Hope that helps slightly
Does anyone have any new piccies of this, I quite fancy doing that.
Will be an amazing beast when complete!

is there going to be enough weight over the back tyres to give it grip?
U got a lot of weight up front already.
Looks nice though. Any updated pics?

the front end stuff is ford capri, and then the escort axle, so i was told.
is there going to be enough weight over the back tyres to give it grip?

Hi all.
Well, its been a while since I've posted here. Gutted I didn't get it done for trax (cheers Ian for the pass anyway - we did turn up in me mates 1.poo :(). Also wanted it done for Billing, but that didn't happen either.
Its on the road now with just a few little problems. Got a new prop, and had to ditch the welded diff due to a bad whine although it went fully broadside on every corner or roandabout! Just need money for an LSD now.
Anyways, heres a few pics taken a couple of weeks ago now, so you'll notice the odd thing or two to be done., I'll try and get more soon....... enjoy......
