Electric windows + central locking installation !

im about to purcashe a set of central locking and electric windows hopefully. !

how hard are they to install as i can't find a guide anywhere !

i've heard the windows are just a case of replacing the old mechanisms with the new motor mechnism using the same hol es to attach it into the door, and then wiring earth and live up and runing wires to the switches !?

what about central locking !?

i have an A-level in electronics so i fink i shouldbeable to do it

electric windows are easy, simply replace the window mech for electric jobbies. then chase the wires from the center console under the carpet then through to the doors. hardest bit is if u havent already a hole from pillar to door. remember you need a fuse, mine is an inline fuse as aposed to the fuse box type fuse. connect the power from a switchable live for windows only with ignition ( i took it from the fag lighter ) or a constant live like the clock for anytime electric windows ( i dont recomend ).

central locking, i should imagine is very similar as the wiring is all togeather with th windows. my car already had CL so i just did the windows. im sure the green bible of nove could tell ya (hynes manual).
