i have a nova 1.3 and my mates have STANDARD corsa 1.2's and basically they leave me for dead please help me put them back in their place by telling me what i can do to at least keep up with them.

is a 1.3l or 1.3sr if it's the 1.3; then you could get the head and carb setup from a 1.3sr. get an exhaust system from a gte, rebuild the engine as it sounds like it's dyin as it shouldn't get eat by a corsa unless its one of the new ones

:o you are joking aren't ya :o 1.2 corsas are slow as fook, honestly :| my Sr with a weber 32/34, 4-1 manifold and a back box was a lot nippyer than my mates 1.2 corsa. Would I be right in thiking a 1.2 corsa is slower than a 1.2i nova?

dont buy a corsa!! there 4girls!!! :P sounds asif your car needs service and tune. my 1.3sr dusts corsa 1.2 8v and 12v, and can hold its own with the 16v's and its got no engine mods.. :o

it seem's to me that the obvious way to keep up with a 1.2 corsa is to buy one. why the 1.3 nova wont beat it i don't know, it should do. which 1.2 corsa is it? new shape 16v? they have 85bhp i think ste raced one once in his 1.4 nova and there was nothing in it.
