LOL it makes me laugh how ppl can get so worked up over novas.

I admit i get worked up over them in a good way caz i love the things.

I was in a pub car park just with a m8 and just talkin bout cars on a lush evenin as u do :wink: Just exlpaining to him what ive done to it and future plans etc... then this 50+ year old man drove past in his escort with his window down and shouted 'It's only fit for the scrap heap'. :lol:

I mean i just cant see how some1 total stranger can get the attitude to say that

Just thought i'd share my feelings with you lot, i believe in each to their own and stuff but it just made me think of the reputation this car really has :P

Had the same the other day when i was going down the motor way. Some guy in a big merc thinks i no im gonna undertake this crap nova an cut him up. Well when i went to cut me up i dropped a gear an aimed for him. Ive never seen someone move so fast haha. Hate people like that.

I'm on the other end of this now, I get abuse from nova drivers(and saxo,106,punto,escort etc) if I dont race them or if I overtake them. I had 1 guy pull up next to me at the lights in Stockport, his nova looked nice, it had a bodykit etc, nice wheels, so I wound my window down to talk to him about it, he looked across at me and said "driving daddies car eh? fucking ponce" then he sped off from the lights, I just sat there with my mate and thought what a twat, no wonder nova drivers have a bad reputation! lol

If I didn't like novas as much as I do, I would probably have driven off thinking that novas drivers are twats, but I know this guy was an exception. If I had a place to store it I would have bought bens valver by now, but I dont unfortunately. :(

People at work were always givin me shit for it......bit of a kick in the teeth for it to then fail it's MOT and give them MORE ammunition to hurl at me. There is a few reasons why people are like this... its because they have either been so badly p1ssed off by little twats driving about like boyracers an acting jack the lad in the car, but theres alot of type of cars that boyracers attract, just not the novas, but id say mostly the nova has been abused for this, though corsas/saxos etc will be the same soon, then theres a reason people like that old person dont see the sense in putting all the money in the car because it wont be worth anything really, but I agree with putting ur money into a car, coz if u geniunely(sp) love a car u'll do whatever u want on the car and keep it good, for instants if u buy a new type car u loose out on money.... anyways old school rocks

I get this from ppl at work. But I am just waiting for the day when I shall have my 2.0 16V turbo installed, and then when someone says something to me I will just shut them up! And anyway the most abuse you get not from words its the attitude of BMW and Merc drivers on the road that try to undertake you or cut you, but with my 2.0 I will just tell them to shut the f**k up! Nice and simple!

my first car was a nova, and have always had one!

All my mates take the piss out it, but its something about them, that wants me to prove everyone wrong!, how to do that i have no idea, but can still try.

I have seen some fellow nova owners acting like complete twats, all over the road and racing everything with wheels, i think that is where we get the bad reputation, it just a pain that the others that arent like this have to get the same reaction.

i.ve also had idiots in "bigger" cars, think that when a nova is on he road, they can do what they want!, i juts seen it as, if they have a big car, their obviously trying to prove something to someone!

I've been cut up a few times, if i was in the right mood at the time, it would of been an interesting insurance claim!

I sure it going to be with us forever! :x
