Well the 1.4 manifold will be better than 1.2

and 1.6 manifold even better.

TBH you need to change the engine if you want to talk about power and performance.

my ashley is meant for the 1.3 and had to use a 1.2 corsa downpipe to get it on properly but worth it

i have a Poweflow 1.2 system for sale, it mates onto the downpipe at the front and cutts out the old silencer, it's custom fit and it literally does fit perfectly! all stainless steel, good condition, hardly any use, ?70 ono

i could notice the performance gains

All systems the same bore, middle box was different on GSi GTE.

Manifolds were different from 1.0 1.2 - 1.3 1.4 - 1.6

And how can anyone say performance in the same sentence as a 1.2 is beyond me!

jesus, stop being narrow minded and consider that some folk on here cant afford to insure a larger engined nova, and its a little more fun knowing you have a small engined car that can be nippy.

i mean a gte/gsi will cost more to insure than my 3.0 V6 omega lol

my 1.2 isnt for insurance reasons but it is to prove a point.

I have a 1.2 shell with GSi spec insides and out. (nearly)

It costs me ?642 TPFT

I am 19 I have 1 year no claims from cars and 2 years (which they accepted) from my 50cc pile of w*nk. Currently a 65% discount.

My first was a 1.4 Flair (1 lower on insurance than SR & with no leccy windows) that costed me ?940 on my first year, and the bit before that was under my mum at ?300ish

My mate has wangled a deal with insurance, 18yrs 1.4 SR ?600 TPFT.

So it can be done, just bone idle to search for insurance and get a good deal.

Apparently I am also insured on any other car with owners permission, that'll be CIS insurance.

I agree the fact not every1 can insure big engine'd cars. otherwise we'd all have valvers lol.

Yeah but to constantly go on about 1.2 power and performance, it's like max pooer!

TBH if I had a 1.2 and actually managed to get it like SR performance I'd be shtum about how many things I bought or did to manage it.

Don't get me wrong I would buy a 1.2 if it was cheap and a good shell cos I would need the head off it.

why do you need a good shell to get a head?

just go down to scrappers and get one off a smashed up pile of wa*k 1.2 and will work just as good.

I was saying that if the shell was good I would buy it and keep the shell and head and bin the rest! Then get hold of a 1.4 and make a little rally slag with the block and 1.2 head or go the 1.6 16v route.

There is also no point in me thing about a 1.2 head as I have a GSi motor in mine.
