I remember someone saying about bike cans for an exhaust, someone wanted to see pics of my micron exhaust, so here it is.

That'll be my homemade bracket from an alternator bracket.

You can just about see the bends that I had to make for it to come out straight!

looks nice mate

the important questions:

What does it sound like?
What does it do performance wise?

It sounds like a bike, but slower and deeper. Also burbles on tickover.

As for performance I got forced to drop my tools and fit this as soon as my mate found it, didn't get chance to run the std box, In fact I forgot to put all vacuum pipes on from the rude interruption!

ah, now this was the topic that i was interested in!
what bike did you get it off? ive been having a look at every bike that passes me and checking out the sound and the diameter of the cans!
i was thinking about modifying the end of one as well to finish in something like a 4in slash cut. do you reckon it would be possible?

cheers
andy

No, leave it as is.

If you see my feature the exhaust doesn't look out of place at all, it just hides a bit. No one looks twice till I boot it.

I dunno what bike, I was halfway through plumbing the motor up and my mate turned up and demanded we fit it there and then, took about 40 min to weld up some adapter pipes and held it up with string for the first month!

Any bike can WILL fit. Just find one you like and it is bound to sound great.

See why he called himself cheeze!

No, that is a well done, very clean and good colour.

Actually quite like the idea of the cans, get them in Carbon tho.

P.S. novaboy you will need a welder and grinder and the original bend from the original backbox, maybe a few other bends if you want it straight or angled etc.

What engines you guys got? Theres a lad with a bike exhaust on a 1.2 corsa i keep seeing and its pretty quiet.

robb

If you look at his profile he had a 1.6 so I doubt this on is anything less.

P.S. Can you get sponsorship from companies to do stuff like that? Gotta be expensive! (The whole car I mean not just exhaust).
