youve got a 1.2 i yeah?

so you have your lambda sensor fitted?

then you dont "need" a rolling road setup. as the ecu will sort itself out.

Does it set itself automatically, i was told disconnect the negative from the battery for a bit is this true?

yes take the power off for a few hours (4 minimum) then reconnect, it will drive like a bag of poo for a few miles then it will start to self learn again

So do I disconnect the positive or negative? Or both?

Generally if you cut the live or earth there will be no power so it doesn't matter which. Electricity actually 'flows' from pos to neg but everyone just whips the earth off.

P.S. I don't suppose I have a clever black box as I have no lamda? Would just explain the large fuel bill since my earth straps packed in and battery died.

electricity actually flows negative to positive (but we wont get piccy lol)

your poor fuel consumption is probably due to poor spark so lack of power and therefore foot on the floor more to get back the lost power.

So why do we have to disconnect it for 4hours then? Why so long? cheers the help guys?

Sorry you are right, its neg to pos with electrons and stuff, I am not down on power at the mo, just using more than usual for some reason. I'll get gas tester in there and see, prob overfuelling, smells like it.

to reset the ecu as its got memory inside it and will just rmeember the last settings. if you leave it off over nite or whatever it will forget this and go back to factory setup and then relearn the engines behaviour
