you think I should get this sorted? I really dont know if to just leave it or should i go down the road of spacers and arch mods.
they are speedline aliseos (et49) but its the drivers side rear wheel that is slightly rubbing :(
what do you guys think?

i just attacked the lip with a 9inch angle grinder, an i used 5 mm spacers
LukeManic

so there is no way that the wheels will clear the lip if i stick 5mm spacers on?

think your just going to try an see really, i mean you might get away with just 3mm spacers on.

but leaving it as it is isnt really an option is it? i just dont want to touch the arches :(

the best it welding next to fuel lines an full petrol tank, or having a fag while draining a tank of petrol, its all good fun
put a wosher on each stud that should give ya bout 1mm which by the looks of it will b enough
best using spacers - youve got well the wrong offset (as you prob know)...
Washers'd be a biatch to line up coz you slot the nuts into the wheel and theyd need to be behind the wheel on the hub. spose you could hold them in place with some grease or summut.

my wheels did exactly the same on the rear only, and they were ET45 :?
I put on some 5mm spacers and it has cured the problem.

Spacers mate - mine were catching on the coliovers so much I had to return to using separate springs and shocks and still needed 10mm spacers. They are 215's though.

I have 15mm spacers on the rear, tho the rear disc conversion brought the wheels in closer.

yer the tyre aint rubbing its just the rim, very slightly as u can see in the pics :?
ive left it for now, i think its worn away that plastic cover :(
i've had an engine (xe) in my boot and had no probs,
i'd b temped 2 say fuckit,
its only a plastic cover
of file a bit of it away
Put washers on the hub to bean join, you only need a little bit of space, alternaively try and deform the guard so it doesn't rub.
Mine rubbed right through on 205 45 16" but they were ET35. Didn't notice tho till I took the wheels of when breaking the car!
et35 is why....
i've never knowen any speedlines 2 rub on there
i'd say sand/file it down
It's the dust cover for the rear shock, the best way would be to heat it and bend back a bit.
And benxed "ET35 why..." ??????
cause nova's and most vauxhalls r et 49...
so 35 is way down there for that
Way down where?
If you mean I had to grind the arches off for them to fit then yes, and they still rubbed the inside!
Low with 15 is the only way.
like most of u said the best thing is get a grinder out, i did my arches again on the week end and its the best feelin, people walking past while sparks are flying out at em. love it
