Some time ago I bought a 4spd Quaife box of a friend with a tran-x lsd and a 4.18 cwp for not a lot of money. Been in the unit for ages and actually advertised it complete a while back.
Finally stripped it down tonight as using the lsd in another box.
Would You believe it, the 4.18 cwp is actually a 4.53 :D :D :D :D :D
How happy am I
LOL "Holy Grail!"
When you opened it up was there a bright light and a celestial fanfare? :D
Let me know what difference it makes to your acceleration, mate. After my epic search for a close 'box I couldn't be bothered to change the f.d. from 3.97 to 4.18 so I'll never know.

I used to run a 4.53 in the rally car and the accelaration was good, I'm now running a 4.86 in an F15 box and the accelaration out of bends is awesome. Probably only doing about 105mph at 8,000rpm in top now though.
I'm going to be a bit short of top end speed at Trax but I hope to make up for it on the brakes and accelaration to 100mph
8000 rpm? :o
It is a rally car tho' as you say.
I'll look out for you at Trax.

NovaNeil, which track session are You in?
Cambridge, bring a stopwatch with You mate. You are now the official Novaload timekeeper at Trax 2004

Been meaning to do trax for 2 years now. Again this year the car will miss it.
But i promise next year ill be back with summat rather quick.
Plans have been made already for what is expected of the new shell (when i find it) lol
Gonna make me want to get the car done shit quick watching you lot blatting it around track. look forward to watching cp kick arse!
I hit the limiter at 135mph according to the digi dash. thats quaife f16sccr with 3.94 fd. probably knock about 6 mph of that for a true reading.
CP wont be attending this year.
