View Full Version : 12ST, C12NZ... and 12NV
according to Haynes, Mk1 1.2's have a 12ST, and Mk2 1.2's have C12NZ.
...If thats's the case, can anyone tell me what a 12NV is doing in my Mk2 1.2...? :? :D
youd have a mk2 3dr carbed 1.2 flair, its an opel engine with 2 bhp less than the uk ones and a hint more toruqe, not that you'd notice.
engine parts are the same except for the spi engine
youd have a mk2 3dr carbed 1.2 merit, its an opel engine with 2 bhp less than the uk ones and a hint more toruqe, not that you'd notice.
that's better :D does feel a bit stronger than the 12ST in my saloon though.
Cheers... can get on with selling the damned thing now

12NV can be found in mk2 1.2s that are not specifically labeled 1.2i or merit+

so wots mine? the car is a red 3 door mk2 1.2 flair carb on a J-plate Jan 91? how many bhp is that?
dont you read?!
a) look at your engine number and find the spec for it
b) take approx 5-10bhp off that for the age of the engine
then you'll have an idea lol
