Here you go. There are no cars in my eyes that can even come close to competing with these four cars. The top WRC escort is for sale at the moment for ?117,000 It was built from a car the won 1 or 2 rallys with Carlos Sainz driving.

Just added the last pic, thats a pair of genuine RS500 touring cars from the BTCC of old. The vauxhall comunity can just not compete with the ford boys. Sorry lads but thats the truth.

Haven't opened the link but I'm guessing this is the Bluew Norwegian ex-WRC Escort Cosworth? If so, I agree - its amazing! There's a video of it somewhere getting spanked around a track!!

Cheers.

It is true, the following of old fords is alot greater than Old Vaux's!

There's a guy in cookstown (NI) with a Mk2 RS2000 Escort, with 7 Miles on the clock!!!

Its true - Vaux have a pretty poor motorsport heritage by comparison tho the BTCC Astras are helping to make ammends a bit

mk1 and mk2 escorts are so nice.

also agree with you all on the old vaux's, a shame they never did so great compared to the blue oval.

i dis-agree with you on the touring car bit thou cp, there aint really a compition of other makes these days, once the whole pit stop thing was introduced the touring car scene went rubbish imo.

The GSI Cavalier in the BTCC blew everything away too! Also the Nova sport was something special, back in the day!

HOLY GOD!
Look at the size of the turbo on the Cossie! :o
I guess thats our equivilent to your LET engine.
Shame no-ones stuck one of them in a fiesta yet...it'd be a destroyer

That mk1 scrote is lush as well...though I'd prefer to have a mk2...I much prefer the squarer cars! (hence my liking Sierra Cos' over Esccos's)

lovin the selection of cars but i reckon the list should be extended to 5 cars you gotta have an E30 M3 in there, i'm biased but they are one of the best drivers cars ever made.

Looks like someone went to the RSOC national day then - wish I had gone now!!

The Ford boys seem to have come a long way really quickly over the last couple of years, 600+ brake is pretty common now :o
Would have to agree Rick - there are some awesome old Fords!

was that 3rd party only and with limited mileage? I pay ?1500/year on my Evo with 4 or 5 years no claims(can't remember off the top of my head!!)
The cheapest quotes I got for cossies were all around ?2500!!

Looking through the passionford site, seems there was a bit of a problem with security. Both the mk1 and the blue wrc cossie were attempted to be stolen, along with porkies (reyland crash co-driver..) cossie, a low mileage 3dr cossie was stolen and found burnt out near Birmingham. All cars were in locked garages inside that pits/paddock..

Well....thats what they were SUPPOSED to be. In actuality the gates were left unlocked...and people free to walk around! Truly shocking!

Really?! I've never seen that! I know Ben from Performance ford is going Rear wheel drive....but thats definately not Cossie power...You have pics of this vehicle?!

If i had ?117K to spend, there's NO WAY i'd be buying an Escort! lol

Out of all the fords i prefer the Escort Mexico. But I don't really like Ford. OR Vauxhall.

Oh, i could be talking crap (so correct me if i'm wrong) but weren't the cosworth engines something to do with someone to do with vauxhall? You know what i mean!? lol
