View Full Version : Well, it took 2 years... But it runs!

FINALLY got the Gsi back last week, after it passed the MOT on Tuesday.
Was getting more and more frustrated with not getting it going, but the wait was worth it!

It goes really well, although i havent opened it up REALLY, due to the fact its all been rebuilt etc.
It sounds AWESOME above 3500, similar to a motor bike!

For those who dont know (and care) its a 1.6 16v with Mantzel etc..
I will get pics up ASAP.

It managed a collossal 21 miles before it broke down too! Nearly in tears, but it was the wire from the fuel pump! :lol:
I WILL be getting it to TRAX!!

Just to point out it didnt take us that long to do in case your wondering, 22 months of the 24 were witing for the bodyshop to paint the engine bay (9 months) and the rest for the external respray.

Oh yeah because you done it all on your own, if i remember rightly it was you who bolted the engine in and then and then stood there scratching your head for 2 weeks.

If i hadnt helped you with it it would be another 2 years!!
