I know of a 1.4 8v that was knocking 149bhp, it was in a forrest rally nova, and had ??? put in to it, not a road drivable car, he's since switched to a 16v head now, waiting to see what he gets out of that one.

120bhp i think a 1300 on here has.

can't remember exactly.

I'm hoping mines going to get to 105-110+bhp.

It's not too bad actually, Bowyer has been tuning engines for many years and has it down to a fine, if not expensive, art..

good engine builder john read. know him quite well. i dont think he does much of the actual tuning tho. just gets the parts from others and puts them together.

John does all his own mapping on a dyno, has his cam's made to his own designs and also designs his own exhaust manifolds. He has also been involved in various engine component developments with the likes of SBD.

All engine builders buy bits from various suppliers and put them together, that's what engine builders do. John is definately one of the best if not the best Vauxhall engine builder in the country.

If You know Him that well see if You can get Me some discount on My engine

yup he deffo is one of the better ones. his old place "carberation and injection" was one of the only places i used to go for rolling road tuning untill he closed up shop.

he just builds engines in a place in saltash now and will tune them up on the road now

don't hear of many good tuners in the south west let alone one of the best in the country.
