unclip the horn button in the middle of the steering wheel using a screwdriver, and then make sure that the two wires are firmly crimped and connected in place.

it shouldn't be the horn itself, as that's mounted on the front bottom of your g'box and whenyou turn the wheel it shouldn't affect the connections down there

Your lucky it works. Mines only worked twice and that was during the MOT test, lol. It allowed the car to pass the test, but there have been a number of occasions when someones cut me up and I've wanted to beep at them, lol.

your horn will be earthing on the steering wheel accidently.

As jim said you are lucky it works. I have had about 5 horns on my car. They have a tendancy to fall off without warning on mine. I had an MOT today and last night i found the the horn had come off again. I had to rush round a mates and borrow the one from his car.

I just solder the connections on there, I had more trouble with the horn end not the button.

If it is shorting out be warned because it will blow the same fuse (15A) used for wipers, bad time of year for no wipers lol.

Sounds failiar. Mine was dragging under the car all the way home once thought the sumpguard ha dcome off till I looked under the car

My horn is now mounted on the inner wing with the button for it in the hole for the manual choke knob in the mk2 dashboard, much more reliable!

 mine has also fell off, but it is now just jammed in right at the front corner of the engine bay  . I think i mite get a couple of nice sounding air horns as the nova ones are annoying and nick nova_rally's idea and secure it to the inner wing :D

Be my guest - it's handy there - you can tell if it's fallen off!

I've got a mate who has 3 horns on his car, it's quite comical as theres a short somewhere and they have a tendency to lock on whenever the ignition is on! went round disconnecting horns and still not shutting them up!
