Help petrol gauge gone loopy

My petrol gauge has messed up completely it is showing alot more than its maximium i.e as far as it will go when theres only a quarter ish in there now. Any ideas?

i think its to do with my new clocks SR clocks into 1.2i
it did it before and then sorted itself out

if it has done it before and then went right sounds like it could be a bad connection somewhere either your sender unit or maybee behind the clocks :D

it only did it for a bit before. Its the clocks but which wire is it for the gauge? they're numbered so shudn't be that hard to tell :?
