lol that wasn't meant literally,
i been after one for a while anyway
if you wanna kill a scoobie you deffo need a turbo or a tb'd xe.
best way is going to strip the shell. either way if you want to ask chris16v they do the conversions just like mine.
he might get you a good one. failing that will f and ben are selling one (black xe)

Welcome mate, think you'll struggle to find a 2ltr for sale, best bet would be to buy a clean shell and do it yourself/pay someone off here to do it for you

Buy mine as sean said LOL
Turbos arent all they crack upto be but good fun none the less.
I would much rather a seriously modded xe than a let.
Its amazing what cant keep up with a 2.0l 16v.

How deep are those pockets?
How about a +240bhp spec throttle bodied K plater?

No nos - just high compression, throttle bodies some appropriate head work and steel rods.

TBH m8 I'd probably prefer a std XE - tuned lump cost ??? if they ever need any work doing!!!
(As you've probably found out the expensive way!! :o )
Taking it to VBOA?

Jules,
The car is pretty impractical with the current spec of engine thats in it. Dont get me wrong, its a really screamer - 8500rpm in 3rd is unbelievable - the problem is the <13mpg which I get with it! The lump would be far better suited to something like a trackday Westfield/Caterham.
VBOA is a little out of the question for me at the moment... Will keep you updated.
Ben.
OK bud, send me some pics when you get some more plz - you've got my email addy.......;)

Ben.
I heard that was what Gary was thinking when selling the car ages ago - take the modded engine out and putting it in a Westfield/Caterham type of car and sticking a standard XE in.
Any idea what he got to replace the Nova? I heard rumours of a Cossie?
:?
Jules,
Garry bought a Blue Escort Cosworth (on 18in Rondells). I think Garry considered selling the engine and car separate, however, as I found out later the lump was totally shafted so skipped that idea!!
I think if he still gets his engine work done by Swillington Autocare then the Esc Cos will have a very short life indeed!
When I get some piccies arranged I'll send 'em thru.
Cheers.

So Ben is your car back on the road now? Rick
Rick,
K95 has been on the road for a year now. Took about 7 months to get the engine rebuilt and mapped!! Really glad its all over now! I car rarely leaves the garage due to the fear of it being nicked or bumped into (not to mention the petrol consumption) so am taking the decision to spilt the engine down and sell that separately...
Ben.
