how much do u think i should pay for a 5 door nova as a first time drive car?

depends on condition,age, etc
no good paying ?300 for a 5dr that's gonna cost another ?300 to get through an mot
nova's can be picked up cheaply now but if you're lookin at very cheap be carefull an check everything.

i went to have a look at a ?150 nova sr, it had been in a rear end shunt, bodged up and the timing was badly out got it for ?50 fixed the timing an abused it as a run about for 6 mths til the tax ran out.

good cheap ones are about but there are alot of old dogs too

i paid ?500 for my 5-door, with a years MOT but no tax.

It had nothing at all wrong with it, and the only rust was bubbles on the rear arches and drivers sill.

If you look around you can find some in better condition for much less money than what i paid for mine - i have seen minters go for much less purely because they are 5-doors and most people want 3-doors.

smitt you've got plenty of time to look around and find a really good 5 door i personally think that you can get a 5 door in fair condition for less than 300 quid

or theres always that 5 door at simpson salvage for ?40 :lol: :lol:
