after having my rear left wheel getting stuck when i release handbrake, i decided to change the cylinder and pads, well after having to drill out the bolt in the old cylinder, then fitting the pads, i tried it all out and it smoked like a b!tch and was really hot,
so investigated and found out i had wrong pads!
Old pad on right and new on left, see the bottom bit is different!

So annoying, so car is off road for a week as ive no time to get new pads , so annoying!

Why does NOTHING go right!

Just makes me wanna burn the car!

let me guess, you bought the ferrodo shoes from halfords?

i had similar problems about 2 years ago where the shoes simply werent machined right. the halfords own ones were fine (and that is odd since the ferrodo and halfords ones are made in the same factory)

nah camebridge they were from a shop called Shaws near me which is part of the Bullseye company. Motor parts shop.

He said there were two types and we couldnt see ANY difference as we didnt think to looking at the bottom of the shoe.

SHould be getting new ones today.
