I am after some wireless network stuff.
I need an 802.11b Access Point and an 802.11b PCI adapter.

I dont want this to cost me any more than 80 quid, including vat and delivery - which has been the problem i have had so far.

I have tried scan, overclockers and aria with no luck - so if anyone knows any computer components sites that might help... please shout up.

I dont want any silly suggestions like "buy it from ebay" so dont even bother, if you do i'll delete your posts :D

Ta.

have you tried www.Dabs.com or www.microdirect.co.uk (I have a trade account with microdirect, so if you see something, let me know and I'll see if it is any cheaper)

also take a look at http://www.ackers.org.uk/ for some info about wireless and some of the better cards to choose.

I got 2 belkin wireless 802.11g pci cards for ?18 each from a local shop, not sure about the cost of access points at the moment, I've not looked.

.b AP http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?F5D6130
?35

.b PCI Card http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/specpage.html?F5D6001UK ?20

Job done ;) I've got this access point. Has been working flawlessly for years. The only minor drawback is there is no web server built in so to configure it you load a small prog onto another comp then do it via that. Once config is sorted the program is no longer needed however. Just set it to pick up IP settings via DHCP then you can just take it and your PC round your mates and all will work by just plugging the lot in.

Actually Parts wanted is for car parts... cars wanted is for cars... and we have no Misc Wanted section, as there isnt enough call for one. SO NO, IT SHOULDN'T BE IN PARTS WANTED you cocky runt
