hi all carnt afford engine converstion so wanna sqweeze every least bhp out of my 1.2i so wot HEAD and INLET manifold would be best..manifold must be spi tho..any ideas thnks all

Not much u can do to the little 1.2i m8.

Change the injector for the one off a 1.4 spi and add an airfilter.

Thats pretty much it.

depends how adventurous u wanna be...

fit a 1.4 SRi exhaust manifold (with lambda) and a GTE downpipe then get a exhaust system for a GTE - ashley do one for ?130 thats a nice full system

then for some internal mods, 1200 carb head with the 1200i inlet ported out to match the ports on the head, 14SR/sri/GTE camshaft and a 1400spi injector if u can find one

would a corsa 1.4spi injector fit the nova 1.2i??... and for the sri cam would it be best 2 fit new lifters?? if so how much they normaly go 4 at vauxhall??

i hav a 1.2i nova, first of all i de-cat it ,ad bought and open air filter, with a corsa intake box, i then ported the head re-seated the valves, had it skimmed and put a 1.6 camshaft in it,(i want a nova sr cam) then i fit the four branch manifold and mounted a heated lambda sensor at the bottom.
the only reason why i havent gone 4 the 1.2carb head is that on a mix up wen gettin a head gasket 4 my car they give my the carbed one, it showed that the bore diametre was anout 10mm wider, so i didnt fink it wud mate up gud, but i am lookin into that.

yer ive heard this about the bore diameters but im sure the 1200 carb head has a different combustion zone too

u'd need to get the carb head and see if the 1.2i head gasket matched upto it

i havnet driven it since ive done the further head work and camshaft, and exhaust, cos i am looking for a dizzie 2 fit my cam and electrical connectors, basically wen i just, de-cat it and put an open air filter on it, and matched all the ports thruogh the head it beat my brothers 1.2 carbed that was standard, u'll definetlt notice a difference.

ever seen this before, alot cheaper than tuning a sewing machine.

Engine swap is easy, bring it here I'll do it for free, can't see people waste money on 1.2s!

yup 1.2i is long stroke like the 1.4 engine

where as the 1.2carb is large bore... err like the 1.4

ur rite it is a waste of money, but i dont think ive spent over 50quid on mine, i av a 1.4sr engine on its way, but i am just tryin 2 beat my mates 1.3 (ka engine)mk4 fiesta. havnet raced him yet but i wanna show him wat a 1.2 nova can do.

Put your 1.4 in. That'll beat the sh*tty Ka engine. In the meantime You could tie his Fester to some rice pud and when his engine stalls trying to pull the skin off the rice pudding, you'll win! :D
