k they have been fitted today with 195/45/16 tyres.
All seems to be ok apart from when i brake the front wheels seem to pull in one random direction, at first it was a bit scary but i just wondering if its me not use to the jump from 16" wheels from 13" steelies.
Any one exprienced this?
u should b ok 2 lower it 40mm and have no probs
if ur running speedlines

..or 80mm.
bigger wheels tram line. also check your brakes
the wierd pulling sensation is cos of the bigger wheels and wider tread, if tyou think about it, when you brake now, your wheel is now gripping over a much larger area than your steelies, therefore# it'l tend to pull off in a random direction when your on uneven ground e.t.c
try checking your brakes and wheelbalancing, tracking to see if they
're ok.
you should beable to do it 40mm no problems, maybe even 60mm with a small amount of DIY arch work.

thanks for the replys guys, yer the pulling thing is fine now it was just adjusting to it.
One thing i have noticed the rear driver's side wheel is touch the plastic cover over the suspension. the tyre isnt at all but the rim of the wheel is :?
Its not a huge amount but very slight, any sugestions on how this can be avoided? is cutting a section of the plastic off an option. I think its just a cover for protection, but not 100%
cheers
