i'd go for a set of twin 45s an uprated cam, do some head work and you should be seeing a nice increase in power.

2.0 8v SE engine from astra gte. fully ported and skimmed head, AST 15 kent sports (R) cam, alloy kent vernier pully, kent cam followers, 3 angle valve seats, thinned down valve guides, twin 45 reconditioned dellorto carbs, alloy match ported inlet with injector ports (for nitrous later on). fuel king fuel pressure regulator, nova ignition from 1.2 modified to fit cam carrier, piperX sox air filters, jaguar fuel filter, ashley competition exhaust, quick shift gear kit, f16 box, custom driveshafts, custom engine mounts, pas pully removed and alternator pully lightened and balanced, cooler running thermostat,

thats what ive done to mine and its good for 160-170 bhp. and ive not touched the bottom end. untill now

Not too complicated. Gotta be handy with a spanner and posses some common sense. If you fitted your own engine you can definately do twin 45's. Turbo's more involved but supposedly not rocket science.
