Just to let you all know I rang courtney yesterday, they have stopped doing the red top 2ltr engine conversions as the have done so many miles. they now put in a 2ltre eco tec engine and seam weld for ?4011

Is this a good deal, will i get the same performance out the newer engine compared to the old one??

It is expensive, and the ecotec inlet is restrictive. Ditch that and fit carbs or TB's and the problem is solved.

hmmm thinking about just looking for an old red top..must be one or two good ones...

i got a whole cav for bout 250 it had done 130000+ miles not had a rebuild put it straight in the nova an its been fine an made 140bhp at the wheels on the rollers. I wouldnt go for the ecotec at all.

my mate has a 2ltr rally set up nova for rallying so taking his advice and getting a red top. more bhp. Gonna see what regal do
