My car has been off the road for over 3 months now whilst i rebuilt the engine! The worst idea i ever had was to do it my self! ?1200 later and still no joy. The engine has been in and out twice!
Anyway to cut a very very long story short, managed to start the thing up yesterday, filled her with oil and coolant, new battery and she fired up straight away off the key. Ran like a **** did not sound good for a minute or two then died. So started it up again and ran very ruff then a back fire and died, then the bitch would not start again!
The starter motor just clicks out, but does not turn. When she died after running i noticed a few ht leads had come off. Any1 no wot cud av caused this?
Ive checked all the wires and everything looks fine.
Some coolant was dripping on to the starter but i sorted this out and dried it off still no luck though.
Its gettin to the point now where i take out my 1m steel bar and smash the nova up cos ive had enough of it!
