square number plates

i want a square numper plate for the front of my car, the problem is i've been told that you can't have a square plate on the front only the back
any ideas

yeah you can get them.... look in the GTE section theres a few cars in there with them. i would say not to do it on your car though mike as i dont think they look very good on standard mk2 bumper's(becuase of plate recess).

may be on your dream nova tho ay? :lol:

I have square front and back and its never been a problem when I've been pulled or with the MOT.

square plates are perfectly legitimate so long at the letter sizes atc are all ok. I went to halfords to get a plate made for the front of an EVO VI, and the little spotty kid told me that square plates were illegal on the front, I said "come outside and have a look", he said "where should the plate go?".

I shook my head and left. Got one from a motor factors eventually

halfords made me up a set so did motor world

but to get the rear one the right size u have to get an import one 7" be 13" i think

also no legitemate company will make u an import road leagal plate u have to have em made as show plates

ah right then yeah motorworld should be able to do em failing that find a graphics shop which makes em that way u dont have to have motorworld or their post code on it

i dont think by law they can sell em for a car i had this debate with some 1 at a bike shop

also i went and ordered bike plates before they became dodgy
i told them i wanted front and back they did me two back ones
they refused to give me my money back or replace one
i said to them "what the fuck do i want with two rear number plates"
"what fu.cking good is that"

also the plates had scootyme plastered on them why would i want that on me car
so they will never recieve my business again not that they'd want it or need it :lol:
