Whats offset mean? is it the width of the alloy or tyre? some1 please tell me!!

The distance between the centre of the hub and how far (in mm) the part of the wheel that rests on the hub is from the edge of the alloy. Hope that makes sense?

yea kinda, ive just got some 15" off a astra and my nova is lowered 40mm will i need to roll the arches??

Probably not if they were originally from the Astra with the correct offset as that has roughly the same offset as the Nova, ET49.

if urs is a mk1 you'll probably have to grind the rear arch lip off to get em to fit
