Will Et 40 wheels fit say 195/ 45/15s the wheels are great and never seen them on a nova but not worth too much hassle

i would say if you were planning on purchasing them then dont, wait till you can get a set of offset 49mm.

Does it mean that they will stick 9mm out from the car. If so can't see them fitting. Whats this about machining

yes they will stick out 9mm more than vauxhall intended, you can get them machined down using a lathe but i dont think they could take 9mm off it. they take metal away from the face that bolts to your hub. so the wheel will sit in the arch furhter.

well thats how they make them in the factories lol

cast them roughly right then machine the centers down

my last set of alloys on the 1ltr were rediculous offset. not sure what they were but they were only 185/60/14 and they scrubbed both arches, infact it ripped half of one of the arches off cuz it was that rotten!!!

i've got ET42's on my TD and a 40mm drop the back scrubs when fully loaded on big bumps and the fronts scrubed the wings on bends and roundabouts so i put 195/45w15 on the front and it stopped scrubbing and i need the same on the back when money will let me. i hope thats a help?
