if you ever do an engine change make sure your mounts are ok, this is what i found!

now replaced them with GSI/GTE (1.6) ones and also tiger sealed them to make them stiffer.

Look alright to me, all my Nova engine mounts have been like that iirc.

they all look like that because they have loads of flash marks from when they are moulded. but by the look of it yours have perrished too. ive just removed mine that were like this and replaced them with astra gte ones full of sealent. loads better

when i took my 1400 out the front two mount rubbers werent attached to the rest of it as it had spilt all the way round

What happens when ya mounts have gone then? How does the car feel to drive with worn ones?

it handles worse for a start as when you drop the clutch or change down a gear the weight of the engine is thrown arround all over the place. also when you are trying to slow down quickly using the gears whilst braking as you should the engine feels like its about to end up on the floor in front of you. it just feels awful
