Run my 1.3 ragged today. Maybe you saw/heard me! (white, No. A790) Fastest time was 17.434.
What times have you peeps had. What engines and in what state of tune? Especially interested in 1.3/1.4 owners times.
Beat a few "better" cars (inc. BMW Mini Cooper, and Rover 75!) but doesn't seem too fast.
17 secs in a 1.3 aint bad at all mate i was gettin that when i had me gte
that was standard part from back box and 57i kit + not weight from stereo

ive just got back and i got a 14.5@97mph, thats with a 2lt 16v power cap, cams, lightened flywheel an no interior

which one yours again, saw a good few novas going down over the weekend? the commentator was taking the p*ss out of mine because of the spoiler. Some dirty scally tried to nick it but couldnt get it off so now it just wobbles and every run i did he had to meantion it

I ran a 14.9 which is an improvement from my last time at pod. Was a good day and night (exept i had to sleep in the car!)

good day on the whole; bit expensive though. met dan and dp there too; good to meet you guys. lookin promising the gte dp; goes well. next time ill have to give mine a run.

lol @ gay buggy thing. was motor bike engine in a frame with wheels wasn't it; home made thing. beat most things it raced.

I did 5 runs! 4 of which I missed 5th gear :x 3 were against Mark Beeson in his blue 2.0 16v Turbo (he ran a best of 13.3 by the way) On sunday I finally got a proper run but it was poor..... 15.2 or something like that. Doh..... Still good fun. Good to meet you phil. Your car sounded the nuts going up the strip! So loud :twisted:

thats why i cant go to any track days as they sound test your car first, i'll get round to doing it some day. A lot of people were getting poor times for what they should have been doing, but i felt the track was very poor in terms of grip.
I dont think carl did very well did he, i remember talking to him an he said something about stalling off the lights an going backwards. Dont think he was having a good day :D
i saw an rx7 run a 15.9 or there abouts so really odd times...dubwiser golf and the green mini were mad though :)

that rx7 wqs queing next to me, he had his engine running all the time all the way through the break and was hitting it off the limiter for bout 30mins. He kept asking why everyone was pushing their cars down the que, i told that they were trying to let the engines cool down as it was a hot day. Then he said he had air con an that his was ok :roll: . Funny though as when he went to go down the strip his car was smoking bad :lol:
That green mini had a 2lt zetec turbo in the back as i remember, the worlds fastest mini i think. :o
it done an 11.1 when i watched it..not as quick as the jet car :o

true the jet car was stupid, but i think a dirty great v8 got time of 7secs an that was road legal. Imagine pulling up next to that at the lights :lol:

Don't know what bhp difference. but they're definitely better on fuel economy! Drove 186 miles the strip on 1/2 tank of fuel =36.5 mpg!

First run 16.1 and second 15.7 and last one was 15.6

exhaust air filter and power cap. 166bhp proven.
beat 200bhp reggie 5, felt good

well was talking to the guy i raced there in a mr2 turbo. Apperantly he is running 300bhp. We got the same time an speed as each other, but he killed me on the 0-60 :(
