View Full Version : HELP!! Endplate on gearbox

hi,

i'm changing the clutch on my XE and i'm stuck. there is two bolts that i can't seem to get to to remove the endplate on the gearbox.....

does anyone have any ways of getting to these bolts without dropping a mount?

spanners. ratchet spanners or crows foot attachments for a ratchet

i have tried those, the shape of the endplate doesn't let them stay on the bolt to turn it.

you have to undo the engine mount and lower the box down to get to them

You will have to lower it because of the gubbins behind the plate will not allow it to slide down to remove it if you could get those bolts undone.

Just wack a jack under there undo the two box mounts and let it down a bit.
