View Full Version : 6x9's
I have a question I have been dying to ask for ages.
Why is this forum soooo in love with 6x9's? What is it about them you see, that I cant see? Even people with subs in their boot still have them when there is really no need. I mean, with all that sub bass causing havoc, can you even hear them?
Can anyone explain to me what role they play in an ICE system?

People have 6x9s because they are a great type of speaker, for bass, and for overall music.
Thats why :o
and cause we can.
so there!
they are a great starting point for a system because they provide, bass, mid and tweeters which means a great overall sound, even though all those can be bought seperately...

And thats why, they are a good all round speaker. :+:

1000th Post :D :D :D
to get the best quality sound 6x9's shouldnt be used with a sub. The best thing to do is have seperate items for seperate sounds, i.e sub (bass), and mids n tweets, if all these are setup properly then the sound quality will be much better than with 6 x 9's, as a lot of power is used in the 6x9's to provide the bass that you cant hear because of the sub. The idea of 6x9's is to have them if you dont have the sub and components etc as they do it all.
