nightmare...help

hey guys im a new member and a few months ago i got my first nova. its a white sri and im havin a nightmare. put some new spax springs on and found that my two front strut tops are rotten right through. i feel a bit of a twat for buyin it now and was jus wonderin if anyone knew if it can be sorted and is it gonna be worth doin?? any advice would be much appreciated. email- tom.ellis@fsmail.net

Do you mean the supension turret on the car? I hope for your sake I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure if they're rusted through then the car's a right-off even if you weld it.

The strut is another name for the shock absorber.

yeah the bit where the top of the suspension bolt2. its not a pretty site

ask about, and get someone to recommend a local welder to do it.
most local parts shops can get panels for you

if they have gone i should think alot more has aswell scrap it

Its about the worse place to get rot, as your whole car will collapse of the metal goes so weak that the suspension comes through the top.

Always check them before you buy a car, although its obviously too late now.
