Now, ive had a new engine fitted in my 14sr, ive done about 500 miles of the 1000 i have to do to run it in. I was on the motorway going to Blackbush the otherday with a few of my mates cruising down there, they were ragging it and they knew i cudnt, so i put my foot down a little bit got to about 85 mph, i just wanted to know if it would fuck the engine as it isnt run in fully yet, and also ive gone up to 4000 rpm twice in a race, would that fuck it too???

Just want some advise really coz im the type that would think i have fucked it untill someone tells me i havent, it seems fine.

yeah just get it done

500 miles is nothing, thats like 4 days average commute lol

if your commited you can do a full 1K run in in 2 days lol but take oil with you etc so you can do the changes en route

lol

ill probably try a few laps of the M25 when running in. failing that just run up and down the A127 to sarfend afterwork

hmm its only 9 laps of the M25 to run in anyway lol

i almost garuntee it, esp if you "race" a lot

but it wont be due to the running in procedure

i did similar things when running my engine in however its used about 1.5 litres of oil in just over 1200miles so im getting a bit concerned

its either due to my pushing it too hard or that theres another fault thats been missed :(
