Can some1 tell me if the calibra transferbox in the turbo is the same as the non turbo 4x4 calibra???

A Turbo owner tells me "No it isn't. The n/a one will not be able to handle the power, and won't last very long." Hope this helps.

i no there are two types of transfer box but not sure whether one was an early one an one a later one or if the n/a an turbo had the different ones

they were both made of chocolate so both as bad as the other lol

there are also 3 levels of viscous coupling depending on the power of the engine to ensure theres never more power going to the rear

im sure the LETs coupling does 90n/m max and the 16v and 8v have smaller ratings 75 and 50 maybe cant remember exactly

they are different. the prop for the turbo is of a larger diameter and doubt it will mate to the transfer box of the non turbo unit. also as mentioned the turbo box has a higher power/torque rating than its N/A counterpart.

the turbo unit can be distinguished by having the letter Y in front of its code whcih can be found on the casing of the trasnfer box.
