View Full Version : some advice needed
i'm not getting on well with my driving lessons so i've just cancelled my current drivin lessons.
the main reason why is that the car a Rover 25 is garbage and the instructer doesn't give much help when needed.
i want to change but i don't no what company to go with i have had some ideas like Anderby and BSM
any ideas guys and gals
i had a free lesson with bsm and they were shit
had a free one with the AA and they were superb
i learnt to drive with rookies in scunny got to drive a new bmw 316 was well mint if u want his num let me know he might come up to grimsby
i wouldnt trust BSM if i was you..couple reasons why...i was cut up BADLY on a busy, large rounderbout by someone learning to drive with them. They were in the left lane to go left, i was in the middle, which goes left or right, and the learner decided to cut across the left, middle and right lane, cause they wanted to go right. If thats what they are teaching you, then why bother
another reason is that my friends have said that they have been with bsm for over a year and a half, and are nowhere near the test stage, so they left and went to another company, who told them that they have been taught totally wrong.
I went with a local driving instructor. The boss lives in my town, so found their details when he was driving about. It might be worth paying the same for a less-known company, as they may end up being a LOT better than the big named ones..
anyway, enough rant. good luck :)

i a, going to go wit AA or Anderby. im not sure just yet 8)
It's not always the company at fault. I went with BSM and was ready for test in 3 months or so, with a lesson a week :?: Sometimes it can be the driver.
e.g. I was told to go left on 3 occasions, shi**ing myself so much I went right lol  Wasn't BSM's fault though.

Cant blame that on bsm mel! lol!
I went with bsm and passed within 3 months or so too, cant fault em...very proffesional.
i would say its worth the extra money to go with a big company like bsm or aa,
i can, when they're a very good driver. i've had two friends that were with bsm that have had the same experience, they definately wouldnt recommend them..
that friend went with another company, and after a couple months passed first time, after being re-taught everything.
(Could be the instructors round this area tho)
i have decided to either go with a company called Anderby or theres this local guy who supossidly quite good

you cant really pass coments on a large company such as BSM. i dont beleive its the company that is the bad party it will be the learer or the instructer. i used BSM and i passed in about 40 days!! my instructer was really helpfull and ran his part of BSM very well.

i got my local guy to teach me.... only had 5 lessons but was out every night with my dad... was ready for test in 4 weeks.. passed first time
i taught my bro to drive....
I had a local instrutor for about 25 lessons! the guy wasnt interested in me passing just money, so i fucked the old twat off and went with bsm, the instructor was excellent i passed my test with only 1 minor, after only a few lessons, bsm were very well organised and when i had an hour leeson it was more like 1hr 15 mins. Cant fault them.
It is down to the instructor though not just the company. :D
