Alpine v12 power

i have alpine MRD M300 amp and want it to run 300w rms for my typer r subs at 2 ohms but it says it needs 14.4 volts to run that kind of wattage how do i achieve this- do i need a power cap?

Hi

Most standard car batteries can acheieve around 14v with your engine running.

With your engine turned off you will only get around 12v

Just my opinion, you will struggle to run more than one type-r off an mrd-300 amp. That amp will power a single type-r perfectly.

I have 2x type-r's which i run off an mrd-1000 this gives each sub 500w rms I was using an mrd-m500 which struggled to run 2x type-r's. So from my experience an mrd-300 will definately not cope with more than one.

Its alright i've got an MRD M300 for each sub- i know one wouldn't run two of them.

Just wonderin if i needed a power cap to achieve 14.4 v
