this afternoon my mate came to see me
he turned up in a v-reg Renault megane convertable, takes one look at my Nova parked up down the drive and starts takin the piss out of it

sum lad i know did that brought a completey standrd nova and dropped a XE in.
the Story:
he was sat at a set of lights and a audi TT pulls up, he looks over at me m8 and looks back and revs his engine and edges foward.
my m8 lets him pull off, floors it after him and makes him look like he is going backwards :lol: :lol:
when the audi catches him at the next set of lights he ask me m8 to wind his window which he does.
"wot the fuck u got in that"

the bloke then winds his window up and drives off
he said it all with a total straight face

Im 37 and ive been brought up with vauxhall :D my dad had a Vauxhall viva van, and that thing went everywhere becouse he serviced it all the time.
He was always getting asked to sell it, and he wouldant becouse he loved it so much, he also spent a lot of money getting it right, once it was running nice he left it alone, but it went everywhere.
I think people get piss-ed about novas becouse they are everywhere! and they all have good engines and can shift.
people take the p-iss but its an old car and saxos are new cars so will be fast.
Dont think becouse its a nova its slow as hell? becouse a few mods and you can have that nova engine purring like mad.
Also sod what everyone else says? if you like your car then thats all that matters, INIT. :D

you just have to get used to it owning a nova or two :D , soon wipe their smiles off when a ?1400 Xe'd beats the likes of M3 beemers and civic type R's( not me a mate on mig with a valver 'swing')
Even better when its an XE nova that owes you just ?400,

don't let it bother you mate. i get it all the time. even the 2nd year apprentice at work has just bought a saxo VTR, (newest you can get 03 i think but could be wrong) i've told him that they are well quick and i cant beat them. it's only a matter of time before i see him out in it :twisted:

He might be younger and driving a new car but the chances are that the reason he's driving that new car is because 1) HE's got it on finance and will be paying it off for the next 5 years 2) His Mummy and Daddy bought it for him - Either is a perfect excuse to rip the piss out of him!!!

Not even close, The only difference apart from the order of the letters is that "Private" has a V in it where as "Pirate" doesn't - Gama is short of a two R's and a M to make "Grammar" - that's almost half the word!!!
