my car sounds like a tank

ive a 1l mk2 with standard exhaust except for a 3" magnex back box. ive just had a new front section exhaust (not the manifold, but the bit that joins to that) but since ive had it fitted when you put your foot down it makes a tank sound noise sort of a cracklin noise whats wrong with it?

Have u looked underneath yet, could need tightening up, or it could be that the wrong gasket was fitted. Who fitted it for you, you should take it back a have it checked. Could also be that the new part has pulled the manifold slightly. Sounds like somethings blowing though. Just check everything's on tight or get a garage to check it for you first.

mine rattles against the tunnel where it goes arround the gear linkage. may be worth a look
