Oh my gosh is all I have to say, so much faster than my Corsa GSi

Just blatted it up my road.

The car feels like brand new, idles like a standard Corsa, clutch is light and gears are solid and punchy, brakes need bedding in but have much potential.

LM Styling aka Lee Mitchell aka God, you are a diamond.

You can see it all finnished at Trax on the 5th September, so excited :D

P.S anyone got a EGR valve they don't want?

(Yes I know the exhaust is wonky, its only a shitty Sportex system so that I could get the car to bodyshop and to Powerflow to have a proper backbox fitted)

LM Styling, Lee Mitchell who does all of the conversions for the Corsa boys done it for me.

He also does C20XE conversions and C20LET conversions, infact any conversion you can think of for very very good prices.

Everyones goes on about how hard it is to wire the X16XE in because of the immobiliser, transponder etc but Lee had no problems at all.

Engine cost me ?350 quid, that came with loom, ecu, gearbox, driveshafts, Lee fitted the engine, fuel tank, wired it all in and fitted brakes for ?250.

its easy to do wiring if you have all the parts, very easy in fact.

Ditch the EGR much better off, only need to send a live feed to the ecu from it to not kick up faults.

I would be interested how the immob was by passed.
I had to use a blank ECU.

How much did it cost, as he prob bought a blank ECU?

You don't bypass it at all, its wired in how it would be wired in in a Corsa.

The transponder and the chip are sitting next to the ECU in the footwell, hidden by a bit of interior trim.

I have a speed sensor which is attached to a pickup wire but not plugged into the gearbox, that also sits in the footwell.

The reason we couldnt do that with yours Will was that you never got the chip from the key of that tosser of a scrap bloke otherwise would have been simple.

Yeah, I know all that, but the way he (Ojc) described it, I assumed he didnt have the transponder etc.

I have the transponder and chip

Make sure its well insulated etc, a guy from bristol who is a Vaux freak put a X16 XE into a Nova way back in 1996 and he had it for about 2 years and for some unknown reason the chip failed.

He had a nightmare sorting the wiring out. and i have never meet anyone with such an intense knowledge of Vauxhalls.

Can't see how the chip could go wrong?

I know my Corsa GSi & SXi keys had chips & I was forever dropping my keys in pints, puddles and nothing ever went wrong with them.
