ive got an all polycarbonate engine that is well light and it revs to like 15K so it should do about 300bhp

seriously now, there's a guy near me who has a 1300 vaux engine that revs to 10k, he bought it out of a motorsport mag of some kind, its an ex hillclimb engine (i think). cost mega money apparently, i'm guessing custom crank, rods, pistons, flywheel etc etc

Sorry, I've got to go with the majority of the other sane people.

Ultimate 1300 is 130bhp IMO

10k, no way :o

A friend of mine has arguably the fastest 1400 16v vauxhall engine in the country, it is 174bhp and the limiter is 9,000rpm.

My point is that it has a steel crank and titanium rods to enable it to safely rev to 9k. As far as I am aware there are no steel cranks or rods available for 1300 engines, therefore the absoloute highest revs achievable on a 1300 has to be 8,000 - 8250 revs. And then this would only be with cosworth pistons etc.... and built by a professional engine builder/tuner.

Some people may think they can get 10k from a 1300 but they cannot.

P.S.
I love your Ford ladies wobble, MMMMMMMMMM :D

Very random indeed.. there was a hint of sarcasm in there somewhere although most people couldn't tell by the looks of it..!

At some of the old VW meetings I used to goto(when I had my beetle) they used to have a beetle engine on a stand and then just rev it until it blew up, they could go for ages at full pelt! usually it wasn't very spectacular when they blew though, just a pop and lots of smoke! lol
