today I decided to go down to the dragway and run the valver.

It wasnt good when I turned up, as the track was covered in puddles so they were only running the 1/8 mile, but late morning they stopped the racing and dried the track off (sort of).

My first runs were around 15 seconds, due to lots and lots of wheelspin, but as the day went on the times kept getting lower.

My very first run I was up against a Saxo VTS. He kept up off the start and at 1/8 I just started pulling away, then I left him for dust.
Next run was against the same saxo, 1st gear neck and neck, 2 nd he was creeping in front, and 3rd gear the back end squatted and he flew off  . I stopped to see what he had done to it and it was a turbo conversion, pushing around 180ish bhp.
All in all I raced another valver nova and a fiat marea 20v and never got beat, but the valver nova was very close.
I had a really good day and it was nice to meet up with DAVID (nova turbo) from here.
I beat my PB of 14.6 by running a 14.472 @ 94.05 mph. (p.s the saxo turbo's best run was 14.460 @ 99.29mph, so I wasnt too far behind him, next time he wont win :D)

I came 5th in class behind
1. VW Sirocco (spelling  )
2. Nova XE on carbs
3. Nova saloon XE?
4. Saxo VTST
5. Me

My times were pretty pants, i could only manage a 14.8023 @96mph against my mates v6 nova. My best time yet is 14.7011 that was at the last york, and i wanted to beat it this time but the rain stopped that, too much wheelspin-too much torque! 8) Hope its not raining next time
