Hi,my TD nova revs upto 5600rpm but when driving along it cuts out and the turbo dies around 5100. Why doesnt it rev all the way upto 5600rpm?? Is it because of the charge safety valve? someone down santa pod told me to remove the valve and block the hole up and this will make the turbo wk all the way upto 5600rpm??

its probably to stop u damagin the engine as the red line comes in at 5 grand if ure revin it round to 5600 all the time ure gonna fcuk it in the end!
vauxhall states that the max continuous engine speed is 4600 rpm and the peak is 5800 rpm but can only be there for a split second plus all the torque which is ure accelerating poweris lower dwn so u dnt need to be revving the arse out of it coz it doesn't gain u anything!

Whats the deal with putting up the revs, boost and fueling then? How hard is this and does it make much difference??
